Claire, who is from the UK, first experienced yoga in London whilst working for a City law firm. She was not immediately drawn to it and it was many years before she came back to the mat in Australia under the instruction of her first teacher, Sam Carolyi, in Sydney. Sam’s passion for and expertise in yoga inspired Claire and she has practiced ever since becoming consistently committed to her practice in the last four years. For Claire, yoga and its philopsophy provide a pathway to peace, tranquility and emotional stability that anyone can tread. She believes that yoga has the power to help people to heal and transform, mentally and emotionally as well as physically, as she has found this to be her own experience. She is particularly interested in yoga as therapy for digestive disorders and physical injuries.
Claire completed the Drishti Yoga Shala YTTC in January 2016 in Kerala, India under the instruction of her current teacher, Rajeev, who owns and teaches at Drishti Yoga Shala Shanghai. Since then she has been teaching mainly in the Hatha and Vinyasa style both privately and at her workplace. She is delighted and humbled to be able to share her experience and knowledge.
